What Makes a Good Psychotherapist? https://danielmintie.com/what-makes-a-good-psychotherapist/
In exploring the question “What Makes a Good Psychotherapist?”, I’m excited to have been interviewed by Daniel Mintie about my article in Skeptic Magazine called “Psychotherapy Redeemed”. Daniel is a therapy educator & adjunct professor at Georgetown University’s School of Medicine. We had a lively discussion about measuring outcomes (the results) & alliance (the relationship) in therapy as well as about interpersonal skills training, both of which he has been teaching for years.
This interview is 42:46 minutes long. We spoke about the meta-analyses and data behind the therapeutic factors influencing outcomes, Feedback Informed Treatment (FIT) & Deliberate Practice (DP).
